Walking on Eggshells20 Dec, 2007 | Posted by: kellee

My mom and I had an interesting conversation today. We were talking about my son and I was telling her how I feel the need to walk on eggshells when I speak to him so he doesn't get upset and blow up. The littlest things can just set him off! She then proceeded to tell me that her and my dad constantly walked on eggshells around me especially when I was a teen. She reminded me how lucky I am to have my son diagnosed and to know whats going on with him instead of it being like I was...everyone thinking I was just a spoiled little brat and going to great lengths not to upset me (Its only been 6 months since my diagnosis).
I suppose she's right...and yes I did hear the little "ha ha ha" snicker in her voice referring to her little curse "I hope you have 10 kids that are JUST LIKE YOU!"
Remind me to put that curse on Cody when he gets home....

My son is changing the bipolar world19 Dec, 2007 | Posted by: kellee

I was informed by the Director at my sons center that he has single handedly changed the views of the bipolar professionals working there. My son has broken out of the "normal" paradigm of a bipolar teen and created new challenges for his medical professionals. The Director will be contacting other bipolar professionals in the US so a new, and unique, treatment plan can be created for my son.
I will post his new treatment plan in the blog for other parents who have teens who are out of the "normal" bipolar paradigm.
What is a "normal bipolar teen paradigm" anyhow??

Bipolar children can be SOOO manipulative! So beware parents of bipolars...be warned...you WILL get manipulated also!

Case In Point:

My son around age 11 started his manipulating crap. I, of course, have never dealt with such blatent lying so I was very inclined to believe what my son told me....until....

How many time have you been told...or its been insinuated...that you just lack parenting skills and that is why your child is so unruly.
What did YOU do to screw him up because you KNOW its ALWAYS the moms fault! Even if your child has gotten the bipolar diagnosis it doesn't matter - you're still a terrible parent and look...theres the child to prove it!
Here are some of the things I have been told:

Dont let the school bully you!30 Sep, 2007 | Posted by: kellee

My youngest son has severe ADHD and I have had to put with so much flack from the educational system I could puke! Once my oldest was diagnosed with bipolar the school thought they would proceed to tell me how to handle things...I THINK NOT!!
They DO NOT know better than you ....you are the mother and YOU know your child the best! Don't let them talk you into things that don't register as "right" in your gut...DONT let them bully you!
Get the advise of a doctor or counselor to help your child deal with school and the many stresses it brings with it. DON'T let the people who don't understand the disorder tell you what to do....
Trust me it will happen sometime in your childs life...I'm giving you fair warning :-)

To make a website with special techniques of search marketing is the major concern of online business. Smart designers prefer simple html and maximum textual contents for better visibility in search engine results. They use multiple tools like affiliate marketing and pay per click for internet traffic redirections. Web hosting business is the most eminent sector utilizing it; ipowerweb has its own ethics to grab market resources. End of the day, website designers should be convenient to surfers not machines.
